Maths Tutor up to advanced level

Power Tutoring is seeking two innovative and qualified tutors to join the team at Power Tutoring at our leading tutoring facility in Knowledge Village. You will be a hardworking and enthusiastic teaching professional with excellent subject knowledge and a sound understanding of the English and Maths curriculum at the primary school level. You will be responsible for creating a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment that enables a child to succeed in their learning.

We are looking for inspiring, compassionate, encouraging and caring tutors that are able to make each student feel important and welcomed forming a personal connection. You are someone who loves learning new concepts and methods within a challenging environment. You can be demanding and firm when required but with a great sense of humour, well organised and can work well as part of a small team willing to share ideas and lesson plans.

If you are looking for something more than a career or a job, have a passion and want a chance to help students learn outside of the disciplinarian and authoritarian approach of schools;  a ‘meaningful’ job.

The applicant must be professional at all times and have a commitment to the values of Power Tutoring. The position will involve teaching individual students from KG1 to Year 9 thus a good understanding of the different key stages in education and be willing to prepare and deliver a high standard of lesson is essential. You must be confident to “hit the ground running”.

You will be a motivated individual with a keen interest in encouraging and inspiring students to love learning and excel in the subject areas of English and Maths as well as mentoring students in their general studies and be able to fulfill the key aim of identifying individual needs. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to liaise with parents and schools.
